Hello, welcome to Mixed Kreations. I am Linda a self-taught crafter, born and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas. Mother of
two, grandmother of four. I have always loved creating things, even as a child. Over the years I have always had
some project going (crochet, painting, sewing, woodworking). I've always loved working with my hands and
woodworking was my passion. I love cutting, sanding and painting my own projects.
Over the last few years I've discovered the world of jewelry designing and the joy that comes with designing your
own jewelry. As a handmade artisan I find inspiration everyday in places and things around me, and I'm always
looking for different mediums to use in my jewelry designs, therefore my creations are ever evolving. Which lead me
to discover my new passion, copper wire tubing and sheeting. I love it! I love everything about it. The earthy color,
the colors you get when oxidized, the metalsmith technique's used to bend, form, hammer for different textures. It
makes beautiful chainmaille bracelets, necklaces, etc. It comes in different gauges and softness to work with.
Copper is known to have healing properties. It has been known to help arthritis sufferers, improve blood circulation
and metabolism. And it’s affordable, so I can make beautiful unique designs with affordable prices. I create a variety
of items, but most of my pieces will be made from copper, my new passion. Each piece starts with bare wire, tubing
or copper sheeting, then transformed through cutting, wrapping, forging and hammering into the unique creations
you will find in my shop.
My mission is to share with others the tips and resources that I have gathered while building my business, so as to
inspire you that you might build your own business around the thing you are most passionate about.
My goal is to make Mixed Kreations a great site full of information, tips, and resources where others can come to find
help. Whether it's just a hobby or making your passion into a business, I hope to have the information you seek or
the resource of where to find it.
I am a one woman business, and Mixed Kreations is a new site that still has a long way to go before it even gets
close to what I am wanting it to be. I know it will be slow going, what with having a full time job. I have to work on
my site in my spare time. But one day my DREAM will come true.
If you have any questions or comments or would just like to share a crafting tip or technique, I would love to hear
from you. I value your input, it will help me to build a site that will meet with your specific needs.
My little studio

This is my work area, where I do my creating. Nothing fancy, but it works for me. My husband
teases me by telling others that I will disappear in my room for hours, and all he hears is ding,
ding, ding, ding, me hammering away on a piece of metal.
The little table on the right side here is where I do my sawing, on my homemade bench pin.

Here is where I take my photo's. Again nothing fancy, but it works. I can get good natural light
with the curtains pulled back.
